Jodie Ferneyhough

Jodie Ferneyhough is the Managing Director for Universal Music Publishing Canada and also holds the title of President of the Canadian Music Publishing association, where he is active in lobbying, copyright reform and media relations. While at Universal Music Publishing Group Ferneyhough has been instrumental in the careers of Sam Roberts, KOS, and most recently, Mobile and Hedley. He has also worked with such established Canadian superstars as Jann Arden, Shania Twain, Daniel Lavoie and Avril Lavigne, among others. He was named Canadian Music Publisher of the Year at the annual CCMA awards, as well as Publisher of the Year at the annual CMW Industry Awards.

Darren Fung

Darren Fung is one of Canada’s most promising emerging film composers. His works have been performed by the Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton and McGill Symphonies; I Musici de Montreal; Toronto’s Tapestry New Opera Works; and Prague’s FILMharmonic Orchestra amongst others. He won Best Score at the 2005 Atlantic Film Festival for his work on Little Clause and Big Clause, and has completed the scores the numerous shorts, documentaries and features, most recently Chaz Thorne’s directorial debut Just Buried. Darren teaches film scoring at his alma mater, the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Guild of Canadian Film Composers. He is represented by the prestigious Gorfaine-Schwartz Agency in Los Angeles.

Mary Catherine Harris, partner, Third Side Music (TSM) heads the marketing and publishing administration departments of this dynamic music publisher. Andrew Lockington

Andrew Lockington has been studying music since the age of 3, and at the age of 15 was the youngest member of the rock group “Pheonix”. He was accepted into the prestigious Music Program at Wilfrid Laurier University where he studied composition and orchestration. Andrew was introduced to the world of film music under the guidance of fellow Canadian Composer Mychael Danna. Most recently, Andrew has composed the score for films such as WB/NewLine/Walden’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth, as well as One Week, written and directed by Michale McGowan. Andrew also continues to be a songwriter, often contributing at least one song to the soundtracks of his films.
